Cregis and Sumsub brought their A-game to Singapore’s MBFC Tower

It wasn’t your typical crypto conference. On October 1, 2025, Cregis and Sumsub brought their A-game to Singapore’s MBFC Tower 2 for “Web3 Finance: Powering the Future of Trust.” The room buzzed with voices from banking, payments, and crypto, all trying to answer one big question how do you build trust in Web3? The vibe was hopeful. Finally, identity, infrastructure, and regulation seem to be aligning to make crypto safer, smoother, and a little more human.

Cregis COO Jason Ma opened the day with something solid: multi-party computation. MPC breaks private keys into shards to protect assets, and Cregis is already managing “hundreds of billions” worth of them for over 3,500 enterprises. That’s not theory it’s scale. Then Sumsub’s Ying Li took over, sharing that they now support 4,000+ clients, including Bybit and Huobi, helping them stay compliant across the maze of global regulations.

The headline act was the “Web3 Trust Stack” panel, where things got real. Cregis’s Eric Cheung said what many already knew resources are limited, and focus is critical. As regulation tightens, identity verification is becoming the backbone of Web3. Real names might just become the rule, not the exception.

But Henry Chan from Interlace threw in a fair reminder  don’t let regulation kill innovation. Trust, he said, isn’t just about laws it’s shared by users, markets, and institutions alike. Sumsub’s Penny Chai jumped in with a warning deepfakes and synthetic fraud are getting smarter. Her solution? Reusable KYC. One verification. Many platforms. Easier for users, cheaper for companies, and maybe the smartest way to fight fraud yet.

By the end of it all, one thing was clear identity verification is no longer optional it’s here to stay. Everyone agreed that good security tech reduces risk and that compliance, done right, can actually improve the user experience. As the summit wrapped, new collaborations started to bloom. Cregis and Sumsub announced they’d go even further together, combining ID verification and asset management into one full-service solution for Web3 businesses ready to build trust the right way.
